Breakdown in the compressed air system
When Norfors experienced a sudden breakdown in its central compressed air system in 2024, swift and expert action was required. Reno already has extensive experience with situations like this, so our sales consultant Karim El-Bouazzaoui got in touch immediately.
“Working closely with the technical team at Norfors, we identified the factors affecting the company’s compressed air operations so that we could jointly find the best solution,” explains Karim from Reno.
A new setup was put in place, which included, among other things, the connection of a couple of smaller, older compressors that Norfors had stored in the basement. And after a short while, the expensive temporary “rental compressor” was replaced with an energy-efficient ALUP Evoluto 160.
Partnership with Reno
"In collaboration with Reno, we have reconfigured the compressors, which has significantly improved operational reliability," says Kent Patrick Unold, Technical Manager at Norfors. "By combining Reno’s new industrial compressor with our smaller compressors, we have managed to configure the compressed air system in such a way that there is now 100% redundancy."
The new collaboration with Norfors also includes a service agreement and a new partnership, which encompasses ongoing support, servicing and advice from Reno, as well as a 5-year extended warranty on the newly acquired equipment.
“Whereas we used to be on our own with these matters, we now have a proactive partnership where one of our own staff is linked to the compressed air system alongside a technician from Reno. This means we’re staying one step ahead and this is very valuable for us", says Kent Patrick Unold.
